Data encryption is available in the following field types and selected in the object properties:
Text Input
Mask Text Input
Password Input
When a field has been marked as encrypted the data entered in that field will be stored in a non human-readable format in the PerfectApps database. The data can only be viewed in its human-readable format in an app instance.
Encrypted data cannot be viewed in a human-readable format in the following scenarios:
Notifications
PerfectApps Reports
Data History
CSV or XML Export
NOTE: Encryption and decryption is a performance intensive process and can have a noticeable effect on the speed of the app. Care should be taken to only use this feature when it is necessary to protect the data.
